At the quilt retreat earlier this summer, we did a 1930’s (80 years ago…) charm square fabric swap. From the swap, I got 100 various fabrics and the challenge is to create a quilt with the squares.
I began playing around this week with half square triangles and liberated stars. The half square triangles became 4 squares, pinwheels, and some other shapes whose names I still don’t know. I was enjoying playing and then laid them all out. Well, it is a modern take on the old fabric. Hmmm, but not quite what I had in mind.
I did order some Moda Snow (cream) solids which I think will play well with these fabrics. I’ll keep you posted! Happy quilting today!
