Last night I finished the quilt I made for my daughter – the one with the flags from her band color guard days. She loves it! I am so pleased with how it turned out!
I started with nylon flags that I fused to interfacing, cut into squares, and sewed them together. I actually had 2 different quilts at one time – a brights/red one and the neutrals one. Realizing that trying to get them back to back would be near impossible, I ripped apart the reds one, cut the squares in half, and stitched as a border on the neutrals one. The backing is black flannel; I wanted something soft since nylon is not exactly the softest quilt topping…
It is a great weight and will be a great cuddle blanket : )
Happy creating today!
