Yesterday I had intended to take a picture from the Quilt Show and upload to Blogger via my phone. Well…I was so excited to be at the show that I completely forgot about that capability! Above is some – not all – of the yummy fabric I picked up. There is Kaffe fat quarters in the front, a few christmas quarters next to that, then loads of folded scrap bundles that I can’t wait to unfold & see what’s really in there! To the left are some samples I found at a booth that sold dealer samples. That was great fun riffling through looking for matching sets. I think I got enough for 2 quilts!
Then of course, there were the quilts on display. It was great to see all the creativity. Not having the rest of my pictures off my daughter’s borrowed camera yet, here is one of my favorite quilts taken with my iphone camera. It is “Dear Carol” by Lynn Sykes. I tried to contact her but was unable to do so via lengthy internet search, so I hope she won’t mind me sharing her quilt and name here.
I was so taken in by this quilt. It was a myriad of 3″ blocks – all pieced! You can see the tiny piecing even in the somewhat blurry photo above. This is the ultimate encouragement to save those scraps!
Oh the ideas are flowing! Happy quilting today!
