Yay! One is finished! This scraps and made fabric quilt has been sitting in my studio waiting for some kind of inspired binding – and inspiration struck yesterday. The hand dyed solid sashing colors were outside my color comfort range making it hard to select the final binding color. I thought I was going to have to dye something, but found this dotted fabric in my stash. The finished size is about 34″ square.
The second thing I’m posting today is a mug rug I made for my husband. He is a huge Alabama fan, and loved his Roll Tide mat. Its about 6″ x 8″ made from licensed fabric. The only quilt stitching is that nifty hand quilt look-a-like stitch on my sewing machine.
I’m off to quilting group today! Happy sewing!
