Ta-Da! I finished something! This quilt was pieced in blocks, then I decided it needed some darks, so I used some magenta velveteen from my stash and it turned out great!
I only quilted the actual blocks, not the velveteen – I thought it might lump up because it is slightly stretchy.
This is a detail of one of the quilted blocks from the back. I used contrasting thread just because I thought the stitching would be interesting.
The back of the quilt is hand dyed columns of cotton alternating in hot pink and chartreuse as shown in the picture below.
Ahhh, the simple joy of a finished project!
