Continuing with folded fabric and dyeing, instead of dyeing with one color and watching the separation of color (see post on this here), I decided to prepare multiple dye baths – each a different color and dye that way. I took the folded fabric and set it on one side in one color, then moved it to another color and another side. The above photo shows 3 colors – and is one of my personal favorites!
Oh the variety you can get!
This piece is dyed 3 colors, 2 of them were very close in range. Interesting how different folds yielded dramatically different results?!
Another fold, but with 2 colors.
This piece was twisted and dipped in the same colors as the previous red/yellow/pink photo.
And this one created a cross design!
And here is my little companion – my fabric loving dog Lucy. Notice she is enjoying some folded fabric remnants that I tossed on the floor…
