In my last post I talked about the lagenlook of layered clothing and my discovery of Krista Larson to achieve that look. Along with her clothes, she offers these cute fabric rosette’s that are pinned to the clothes. They are done in the same fabrics as her line, so everything matches.
Since her’s are sewn on a machine, and I was heading out of town and needed handwork, I looked online to see if there were any rosettes that could be sewn from scraps.
Oh boy. There are many! Pinterest was a great aid in this search. Just type in “shabby chic rose” or “fabric rose” and see what comes up.

I combined the two rose tutorials and created my own. Of course, I had a hard time doing the same thing more than once! I had to alter each rose to try something new.
