Recently another member of my quilt group gave me some scraps from a project she was finishing.
What to do, what to do…
I also recently found a nifty pattern from Red Pepper Quilts called the Kaleidoscope block. You can get the pattern here. She has some lovely quilt patterns for sale. This block is, however, free!
Hmmm, free scrap fabric and a new pattern to try out.
It’s a really fun paper pieced pattern. And it was easy. Making the same pattern over and over gave me good paper piecing practice.
As you can also see in the top of the photo, I did a little piano key piecing for a possible border.
There is about enough fabric to make a pillow for the couch.
I must say, I am looking very forward to using this pattern again with different fabric!
