After nearly finishing my circle quilt, I had a yummy stack of bits & pieces that I just had to play with! I am finding that I enjoy playing with the bits more than large chunks of fabric. Anywhoo, I sewed strips of the scraps together, then cut them into 4″ blocks. I found some creamy pimatex in my stash and also cut it into 4″ scraps. Stacking right sides together, one each of the scrap fabric and the cream fabric, I sewed all 4 outer edges together. Then I cut diagonally to create 4 mini triangles. Flip & sew and the result is petite pinwheels! As they are laid out now, they measure 13.5″ x 9″ – not sewn together. I have a few more scraps, we’ll see what this becomes today!
Happy sewing and stay cool!
