It’s been so long since I started this I think I forgot about posting part 2…Well, here it is! Like I said in the previous post, the yarn is a new color because I get into such a rhythm that I forget to take pictures along the way!
Anyway, after all the warp is threaded, the ends need to be tied to the warp stick as shown above. Here are some pictures showing exactly how I tied the ends.
After tying each section (I usually do 1 1/2″ sections), I go back and make bows across the row starting in the center and working out to the sides. I make sure each group of strands is the same tightness.
From there, its a simple matter of moving the warp bar up and down to weave. I start each weaving with folded paper to make a clean edge.
The paper is visible here as I have pulled the warp bar towards me after running the first weft through.
