Yesterday at quilt group I decided to work on english paper pieced Hexagons again because lugging my machine out in 100 degree heat was not appealing. Back in April, I worked at an event called Zero Nashville – an attempt by the home dec community to prevent all those decorator samples that are out of date from ending up in the landfill. Artists were invited to help. We could take anything we wanted – for free!
I found a good number of all silk samples. And now with my discovery of hexagons, they are being used! This is the pile I did at quilting yesterday. I have a design in mind and it may happen today or not. I missed my machine yesterday and we may reacquaint today : )
