I have been working this week on my daughters high school t-shirt quilt. After laying it out in rows and sewing some of the blocks together, I realized I could quilt it “as I go” in columns. That is why you see batting sticking out on each side of this middle panel.
So here is a close up of the middle column all quilted. Hard to see on the black, but you can kind of see on the gold next to the black at the bottom of the picture. First I stitched in the ditch where the t-shirt fabric was sewn to the edging; then free motion quilted on the edging. I wanted to keep the original design of the t-shirt untouched!
