Since the weather has been relentlessly cold, I have hunkered down in my Realm and been busy creating with color and fabric. I decided to try my hand at some quilting patterns to see how my less-than-perfect self could do with the seemingly necessary perfection in quilting. Well, I think it’s working out fine! I started with the squares, got bored, and then switched to the angular cuts. We’ll see how they all end up together in one quilt.
I created all these squares in about 3 days. I have no idea where the finished quilt will go, as it doesn’t match ANY color in my home…but I love the colors and therefore have been excited to work on it. But just as in the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun” where she bought a house for a life she didn’t yet have, I will have a quilt for a place that is yet undecided. I have discovered that these things have a way of working out.
