It’s been an emotionally crazy summer, so there have not been long slow days to stay inside in the AC and play with fiber. However, I have been trying a few new things in between funerals, trips, and children moving in, out, and across town.
In all the busy-ness, I discovered weaving on a triangle loom. It’s sometimes called tri-loom weaving. I purchased a 2 ft triangle loom on eBay and got going.
The warp and weft are woven at the same time, so there is no loom set up.
Instant start for weaving is pretty cool : )
It is very meditative and goes together quickly.
The only equipment needed besides the loom and yarn is a crochet hook and a pick comb. The crochet hook that I have found most useful is this tunisian hook. The pick comb is used as a beater to keep the warp and weft straight.
I have found some time to let my college age daughter help me with some fun polish! What are summers for?!
