Confession time. I have a pile of quilts and placemats that are all sewn, backed, & quilted that are just waiting for the binding. Does anyone else have this issue? These are so close to being in use it is palpable, but alas, they still sit in the “waiting to be finished” pile.
Perhaps I have a bad habit of starting things. (I do.)
That thrill of the new idea – I love that! But completing the task is, well, drudgery.
I have gotten better at completing things as I have
aged matured. I think I just don’t start as many things as I used to.
That contributes somewhat. I do see real value in finishing up a task so my attention can be wholly given to the next thing.
Also, wanting to being a good steward with time and money gives me motivation to finish things; piles of uncompleted items is wasteful of both in my humble opinion. And finishing things does bring it’s own form of reward.
Checking off that list.
Sharing it on the Blog : )
So today, I share with you the latest liberated, free-form baby quilt that is completely done. It has a little bit of pink and some bright blue pom pom’s in it so it is quilted with magenta thread. Not sure who the recipient will be, but she will need to be a not-so-girly girl.
Until next time, Happy Creating!
